The Hiking Spree Program was started by Alex Newmark as a way to encourage members to join club hikes, with a minimum goal of 10 hikes per year. As started when the club's hikes where only on the weekend, the program used paper and mail-in to keep records. We now have multiple hiking groups during the week providing over 250 hikes this year as well as over 100 weekend hikes.
In order to keep with original goal of the Hiking Spree Program, the program needs to grow with the increased hiking participation, without over burdening the hikers or the volunteers who will be managing the record keeping. To this end:
